Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning with NVIDIA

Dear Participant,

The purpose of this program is to help you learn about Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence using NVIDIA's Jetson Developer Kit. You will learn about computer vision, machine learning, and how to leverage libraries to do this.

The curriculum is designed to culminate in a final project. You will come up with your own idea and then work on it to create the code, documentation, and explanations for how it works. This will be something you can add to a portfolio!

The Program Roadmap

This program is laid out across ten weeks, consisting of 20 modules. The modules can be accessed from the "Modules" tab in the navigation bar.

**Here is a quick look at the roadmap of the program elements:**
Section	Objectives
Section 1 Intro to Python	Become familiar with python programming syntax and functionality. Learn about variables, input, and conditionals. Create a story program.
Section 2 Python Coding	Learn about while loops, for loops, lists, and functions. Create a number guessing game.
Section 3 Linux and Python Libraries	Learn the basic commands needed to interact with a Linux machine. Discover the power of some common python libraries and what can be accomplished with them.
Section 4 Intro to Image Classification	Boot up the nano and get an image classification network running. Practice collecting data and retraining the network with it.
Section 5 Image Classification Interface	Use PyTorch, and the Hello AI World tutorial to learn about networks with weights already created. Write your own code to run an image recognition model on images.
Section 6 Training Image Classification Models	Learn about the power of using networks whose weights have already been calculated to add new categories to a network.
Section 7 Object Detection and Semantic Segmentation	Learn about two other kinds of networks, and how they can be leveraged to make your own project. Learn about the project requirements for the final project, and start brainstorming what each student wants to do.
Section 8 Project Work Time	Focus on output from a network and understanding the results. Watch videos of example projects for inspiration.
Section 9 Develop a Rough Draft	Work on developing your project and submit a rough draft.
Section 10 Finalize and Submit Project	Documentation, git, and making the video. Finishing up the project itself.

By the end of the program, you will be able to:

Understand the purpose of different deep learning networks and how to use them
Identify important aspects of neural networks and how they work
Create unique solutions to problems in machine vision
